Even DD1 got an update a few months ago, but with the limited resources Chromatic Games (formerly Trendy Entertainment) has, DD1's update schedule is quite uncertain. Each game has a pretty active community, and both DDA and DD2 are still getting updates. DD1 is the cheapest if you only get the base game, but there is a lot of content in its DLC. Pricing wise, DDA and DD2 are pretty close (I can elaborate more on this on request). DD1/DDA have a downloadable demo and DD2 is free to play. Fans of DD1/DDA tend to not like DD2 because it is different.Īll 3 of the games you listed can be tried for free. DD2 on the other hand plays quite differently from DD1 and DDA. There are obviously some changes that make it a bit different from DD1 but it still should be quite familiar. DDA is a much more modern re-imagining of DD1. ![]() DD1 is the most loved game in the franchise and has the most content. ![]() ![]() I didn't rediscover Dungeon Defenders until I caught wind of the Terraria x Dungeon Defenders 2 crossover.ĭD2nd Wave is basically Dungeon Defenders (DD1) on mobile, so DD1 would be the most similar experience to it. Then our house got broken into and that tablet was stolen. Dungeon Defenders: 2nd Wave was also my first Dungeon Defenders game! It came pre-installed on a tablet my parents bought as part of a promotion and I spent so many hours each day playing it. Wow, that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
